I've been complaining about the centrism and blandness of the draft MDP platform for a week now -- and I'm not the only one. So it's time to lighten up with a game. Below are seven pairs of statements. One statement in each pair comes from the 2008 MDP draft platform, and the other comes from the 2006 Massachusetts Republican Party platform. They are all taken from the bullet-point "details" portion.
The way I see it, if you can't tell the difference at least 6 out of 7 times, there's something wrong with this platform. How did you do? What does that tell you?

I love the quiz. I like to believe that there *is* a difference, and that I call myself a "Democrat" because of that.
5/7 for me too. Great quiz! Shows the need for a third party to provide some real choice in this process. As if.
I got 6 out of 7, but that came mostly by trying to psych out the quiz.
It's great that the Republican platform is so inclusive, but really sad that the Democratic one isn't better on these issues.

Excellent quiz. I only got 3 out of 7. It shows that both parties know the "buzz words" and values to project. It's going to take more than that to make change we can believe in.
